BODHI LINUX 5.0.0 ALPHA1 HAS BEEN RELEASED WITH NEW FEATURES AND UPDATES ON 21 MAY 2018
Bodhi Linux 5.0.0 Alpha1 has been released with new features and updates on 21 May 2018. As we all know that recently Ubuntu released it’s latest Long Term Support version i.e. Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. After release of Ubuntu 18.04 all the Linux distros which are designed based on Ubuntu started to upgrade their operating systems. One of them is Bodhi Linux. As per official announcement Bodhi Linux 5.0.0 is developed completely based on Ubuntu 18.04 Bionic Beaver.
The Bodhi linux team has mentioned in official release note that those who are using previous version of Bodhi Linux i.e. 4.5.0 cannot upgrade to Bodhi Linux 5.0.0 as this is a major release. But there is a good news that the Bodhi Linux 4.5.0 will get official support till April 2021.
Now let’s have a look at some major changes of Bodhi Linux 5.0.0. This latest version is shipping with Kernel Version 4.9 and the Desktop Environment would be Moksha 0.3.0. 32bit and non-PAE supportable.

They have released two versions of ISO installation images on their official page i.e. Standard Release and Legacy Release and both ISO images are available for download. Hence Click Here to download the Bodhi Linux 5.0.0 images and give it a try.
As it is a Alpha 1 release of Bodhi Linux 5.0.0 you do not suppose to install it on your production system as there may be some bugs. but you can use it for testing purpose. If you get to find some bugs then you can report that on official forum of Bodhi Linux which will help developers to fix it on it’s final release.
